Adela Haunted Tours offers historical tours, folklore programs, ghost tours, nighttime walks, and paranormal investigations in real locations. The safety of guests, team members, venue partners, historic properties, and the public comes first.

Follow Guide and Venue Instructions

Guests must follow all instructions from Adela guides, team members, emergency personnel, and authorized venue representatives. Remain with the group unless given permission to separate. Do not enter closed, unsafe, private, or restricted areas.

Historic and Outdoor Conditions

Depending on the experience, conditions may include darkness, low lighting, uneven pavement or terrain, roots, steps, narrow passages, insects, vegetation, dust, dampness, heat, cold, and limited seating or restroom access. Wear closed-toe or otherwise event-appropriate shoes and clothing suitable for the forecast and location.

Guests should bring any permitted personal necessities disclosed on the event page, which may include water, a flashlight, weather protection, or prescribed medication.

Alcohol, Drugs, Smoking, and Weapons

• Do not attend while impaired by alcohol, illegal drugs, or misused medication.
• Alcohol and illegal drugs are prohibited during Adela experiences unless a specific licensed event expressly states otherwise.
• Smoking and vaping are prohibited during the tour except in a venue-designated area when permitted.
• Weapons are prohibited except as specifically protected or required by applicable law and venue policy.

We may deny entry or remove anyone reasonably believed to be impaired or creating a safety risk.

Respect for Historic Sites, Cemeteries, and Property

Do not touch, climb on, move, remove, mark, damage, or disturb buildings, artifacts, headstones, monuments, vegetation, equipment, or personal property. Do not litter. Cemetery guests must remain respectful and must not sit or lean on monuments or disturb gravesites.

Trespassing, vandalism, theft, intentional damage, or unauthorized entry will result in removal and may be reported to the property owner or law enforcement.

Paranormal Equipment

Guests may bring paranormal equipment only when the event listing permits it. Equipment must not create a trip hazard, interfere with another guest, damage property, disrupt communications, or violate venue rules. Adela is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to a guest’s equipment or other belongings except where responsibility is imposed by law.

Do not present fabricated sounds, movement, readings, or other interference as paranormal evidence. Respectful curiosity and honest observation are essential to the experience.

Photography and Recording

Photography and recording must comply with the rules of the specific location. Flash, tripods, drones, livestreaming, or recording in sensitive or restricted areas may be prohibited. Do not photograph or record another guest in a harassing or intrusive manner.

Minors and Supervision

Age requirements vary. Minors must be supervised by a parent or legal guardian when required. The supervising adult must keep the minor with them and is responsible for ensuring compliance with all safety and conduct rules.

Health, Mobility, and Personal Needs

Guests are responsible for reviewing the physical requirements and contacting us before booking if they have questions about walking, standing, stairs, terrain, lighting, enclosed spaces, sensory conditions, or other participation needs. Do not attend if you have a contagious illness or if participation would create an unreasonable danger to yourself or others.

Emergencies and Injuries

Immediately report an injury, illness, hazard, missing person, or emergency to a guide. In an emergency, follow instructions and call 911 when directed or when immediate help is required. Guests are responsible for carrying necessary emergency medication and informing a companion when appropriate.

Prohibited Conduct

The following may result in denied entry or immediate removal:

• Threatening, abusive, discriminatory, harassing, or sexually inappropriate conduct.
• Fighting, dangerous pranks, intentional scares, or conduct that risks injury.
• Interfering with a guide, investigation, emergency response, or another guest’s experience.
• Impairment, illegal activity, vandalism, theft, or trespassing.
• Refusal to follow a reasonable safety or venue instruction.

Guests removed for a policy violation are not entitled to a refund except where required by law.
