What Ye Be Wantin’ to Know

What is Adela Haunted Tours?

Adela Haunted Tours offers immersive historical and paranormal experiences that explore the stories, folklore, legends, mysteries, and unexplained events connected to Alabama and the South.

Our goal isn’t simply to tell ghost stories. We combine history, documented accounts, local legends, folklore, and paranormal exploration to introduce guests to the people and places that helped shape our communities.

Adela Haunted Tours was founded by Teresa Fikes and Stan Fikes, longtime historical researchers and paranormal investigators and founders of Webb Paranormal Group.

Their experience in historical research, genealogy, paranormal investigation, and storytelling helps create tours that respect both the history of the locations we visit and the people whose stories we share.

Age requirements vary depending on the tour or event.

Some experiences are family-friendly, while nighttime paranormal investigations, mature historical subjects, difficult terrain, or extended events may have minimum-age requirements.

Please check the individual event listing before purchasing tickets for younger guests.

Adela is designed around history, legends and investigation rather than a haunted-house attraction.

Many tours continue during light rain or changing weather conditions.

However, tours may be delayed, modified, rescheduled, or canceled when weather conditions could create a safety concern.

Guests should check their email and Adela Haunted Tours’ official communications for updates before an event when severe weather is possible.

Check the event-specific policy before your experience.

Comfortable clothing and closed-toe walking shoes are strongly recommended.

For nighttime or outdoor experiences, consider bringing weather-appropriate clothing, insect repellent, and a small flashlight when permitted.

Please remember that some historic locations have uneven ground.

It depends on the experience.

Walking tours may include sidewalks, historic streets, trails, grass, gravel, stairs, uneven surfaces, or low-light areas. Special events at historic properties may involve considerably more walking than our downtown tours.

The individual event description will provide additional information when a tour has unusual physical requirements.

Location-specific amenities  will be offered along the way but plan for long walks between them.

Photography is generally encouraged unless prohibited by the property owner or stated otherwise for a particular event.

Flash photography, video recording, livestreaming, professional photography equipment, or tripods may be restricted at certain locations.

Please follow your guide’s instructions.

Unless otherwise stated, we recommend arriving approximately 15–20 minutes before your scheduled starting time.

Tours generally need to begin on time, and late arrivals may not be able to join once the group has entered a property or departed for a trail or walking route.

Cancellation and refund eligibility depends on the event and how far in advance the cancellation is made.

Some special events have limited capacity and require advance payments to venues, caterers, speakers, or other providers. Because of this, certain tickets may be non-refundable after a specified date.

Please review our Refund and Cancellation Policy before purchasing.

Private and group experiences may be available for organizations, historical groups, clubs, businesses, families, and other groups.

Availability depends on the location, group size, date, and type of experience requested.

We strongly recommend advance reservations.

Many Adela Haunted Tours experiences have limited attendance, and some special events are intentionally kept small to provide a more personal experience.

Walk-up tickets are not guaranteed.
