These Terms and Conditions govern your use of adelahauntedtours.com and your purchase of or participation in an Adela Haunted Tours tour, paranormal investigation, historical program, special event, or related service. By purchasing a ticket, making a reservation, or participating, you agree to these Terms and any experience-specific instructions disclosed before purchase.
Advance reservations and full payment are generally required unless the applicable event page states otherwise. A reservation is not confirmed until payment is accepted and you receive confirmation from Adela Haunted Tours or its authorized ticketing provider.
The person making a group reservation is responsible for providing accurate information and sharing all applicable policies, restrictions, directions, and safety instructions with every member of the group.
Prices are shown in U.S. dollars. Applicable taxes, processing charges, and disclosed fees may be added at checkout. We accept the payment methods displayed at checkout. Payment processing is handled by the applicable third-party provider.
We may correct an obvious pricing or listing error. If a correction materially affects an existing purchase, we will contact the purchaser and provide a reasonable option to accept the correction or receive a refund.
Each experience may have its own date, time, meeting location, age requirement, physical demands, accessibility information, prohibited items, photography rules, venue rules, and cancellation terms. Event-specific terms presented before purchase control if they conflict with a general provision on this page, unless prohibited by law.
Adela Haunted Tours presents documented history, local accounts, folklore, legends, reported experiences, and opportunities for paranormal exploration. We work to identify folklore and reported accounts as such. Interpretations of historical and paranormal material may vary.
Paranormal activity is unpredictable and is never guaranteed. Purchasing a ticket does not guarantee that a guest will see, hear, record, or personally experience paranormal activity.
Historic buildings, trails, cemeteries, jails, ships, and nighttime locations may involve uneven ground, stairs, darkness, low lighting, insects, vegetation, weather, confined spaces, dust, noise, and other conditions. Guests are responsible for reviewing the published experience details, wearing appropriate clothing and footwear, following guide and venue instructions, and determining whether the activity is suitable for them.
Participation may require acceptance of a separate venue waiver or assumption-of-risk agreement. Nothing in these Terms waives a right that cannot lawfully be waived.
Age requirements vary by experience. A parent or legal guardian must purchase tickets for minors and must accompany them when required by the event listing, venue, or law. The supervising adult remains responsible for the minor’s conduct and safety.
We may refuse admission or remove a participant whose conduct is unsafe, threatening, disruptive, destructive, intoxicated, unlawful, disrespectful to a historic or burial site, or contrary to guide or venue instructions. A guest removed for violating these Terms or the Tour Safety and Guest Conduct Policy is not entitled to a refund except where required by law.
We will not automatically charge or debit a guest’s payment method for alleged damages. If a participant causes loss or damage, Adela may document the incident and pursue reimbursement or other remedies through lawful means.
Guest photography and recording are subject to venue and event-specific rules. Commercial recording, livestreaming, drone use, or recording of restricted areas requires prior written permission.
Adela may photograph or record public portions of an event for promotional or documentary use. [CONFIRM CONSENT PROCESS, OPT-OUT METHOD, AND WHETHER A SEPARATE RELEASE IS USED.] We will make reasonable efforts to honor advance requests not to be featured, but cannot guarantee exclusion from incidental crowd images unless required by law.
The website content, branding, original tour materials, photographs, graphics, and written materials owned by Adela Haunted Tours are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. You may not reproduce, sell, publish, or commercially exploit our protected materials without prior written permission. This provision does not claim ownership of public-domain historical facts or third-party materials.
We strive to provide accurate information, but schedules, venue access, availability, prices, and event details may change. We may update or correct website information at any time. Temporary website or checkout interruptions do not create liability for unavailable inventory or an incomplete transaction.
Some experiences take place at independently owned or operated locations or use third-party ticketing, payment, mapping, lodging, or transportation services. Those parties may impose separate terms. Unless expressly stated, Adela does not provide transportation, lodging, travel insurance, or personal-property insurance.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Adela Haunted Tours is not responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential losses arising from use of the website or participation in an experience. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded, including liability determined to result from conduct for which limitation is prohibited by law.
Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute shall be handled in a court with lawful jurisdiction and proper venue unless the parties mutually agree to another lawful resolution process.
If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain effective to the extent permitted by law. Failure to enforce a provision on one occasion does not waive the right to enforce it later.
We may update these Terms prospectively. The terms in effect when a booking is made generally apply to that booking, together with any event-specific terms accepted at purchase, unless a change is required by law or needed for immediate safety.
