Adela Haunted Tours was founded by Teresa Fikes and Stan Fikes to give guests a deeper way to experience the history, folklore, legends and unexplained stories connected to Alabama’s most fascinating places.
Teresa and Stan are also two of the founders of Webb Paranormal Group, an experienced paranormal investigation team dedicated to exploring reported activity with curiosity, respect and an open mind. Their years of visiting historic sites, conducting paranormal investigations and listening to the people connected to these locations inspired them to create something beyond the typical ghost tour.
Teresa is an enthusiastic history buff with a passion for uncovering the people, events and forgotten stories that shaped Alabama and the South. Together, Teresa and Stan bring historical storytelling and paranormal exploration into experiences designed for history lovers, curious skeptics, first-time investigators and seasoned paranormal enthusiasts.

As two of the founders of Webb Paranormal Group, Teresa and Stan draw upon their paranormal experience when developing Adela’s investigations and special events. Guests may have opportunities to learn about paranormal investigation methods, use investigative equipment and explore reported activity under the guidance of experienced team members.
Paranormal activity can never be promised. What Adela provides is a carefully planned opportunity to explore a location’s documented history, reported experiences and enduring mysteries.

We work to distinguish documented history from folklore, local tradition and personal paranormal experiences. When a story cannot be historically verified, we present it as legend, folklore or a reported account—not as established fact.

Our tours and events are designed to encourage interest in historic buildings, cemeteries, communities and cultural sites throughout Alabama and the surrounding region. By sharing the stories connected to these places, we hope to help guests understand why preservation matters.
We respect each property’s rules, protect sensitive locations and encourage responsible behavior from every guest. We do not promote trespassing, vandalism, disrespectful conduct or the disturbance of gravesites and historic features.
Whenever possible, our events also help bring attention and support to the historic locations that welcome us.
Adela Haunted Tours is not a haunted house, staged scare experience or theatrical attraction. There are no actors waiting to jump out, no manufactured ghosts and no guarantee that something paranormal will occur.
