Q: Can I bring my pet with me?

A: We only allow service animals. As much as we like our pets, this is just not the place for them.

Q: What happens if it rains?

A: This depends on the severity of the rain. We asked everyone to bring an umbrella just in case. We may duck inside a building until the rain stops and then proceed with the tour. If the weather suddenly turns severe then we will seek shelter in a building and when it is safe, we will reschedule the tour for you at no extra cost. If you are not able to reschedule with us then we will refund your money through the purchase application you used to purchase the ticket.

Q: Where will I park?

A: When you purchase the tickets you will be given instructions on where you are permitted to park.

Q: Where does the tour start and end?

A: When you purchase the tickets you will be given instructions on where you are to meet us. Then you will look for the person in our uniform with our logo on it. We will have someone greeting every person that enters the designated area.

Q: Do you have actors that try to scare people?

A: We do not hire any actors to scare people. That is not what we are about. We will be presenting you with facts, legends, mysteries and some unique stories for our historical researchers and paranormal investigators.

Q: What other tours do you offer?

A: At this time the Dothan Downtown Tour is the only walking tour we offer. However, we do have more in the planning stages right now.

We do have an Investigative Tour of the USS North Carolina Battleship in June. That is an overnight stay on the huge infamous battleship where you will get to use the team’s equipment to see who is haunting the ship.

Q: Can we bring cameras or video equipment?

A: Yes, you can bring cameras and cell phones. Most amateur photographers and some professional photographers have caught some strange things with pictures in the past. We do ask that no videos are done as our guides work very hard doing research to give you the most exciting tour they possibly can so we like to keep it a surprise for the next group. Although, if you get an image you can’t explain we would definitely like to know about it!

Q: If I am running late for the tour, will you wait for me?

A: We strive to always start the tour on time. However, if you are running late, please let us know (using the contact info on your e-ticket) and we will either place you in the next tour group, if space is available, or have one of our staff wait for you for a maximum of 15 minutes, and take you to the tour already in progress. Please give yourself plenty of time to find parking and get to the tour meeting point 15 minutes prior to the start of the tour to check-in!

Q: While on the walking tour are we able to go inside the buildings?

A: No, This is a walking tour that tells about the history, stories, and legends that are told outside each location.

Q: Is tipping acceptable?

A: Tipping is always acceptable, but not required – it is totally at your discretion. Our guides are highly professional and well-trained to entertain you and all of our guests. Many of our guests appreciate good service and choose to reward it, and the guides are always grateful

Q: Can I set up a private tour?

Yes, private tours are available. Most groups, however, decide to attend the public tour for two reasons. First, it is usually significantly less expensive. Second, part of the fun of the tours is interacting with all the other participants who take the public tour. If you are interested in more information on private tours, click on the “group tours” link on our website: www.adelahauntedtours.com.
